The old wooden hotels that made the town famous have all burned down or were converted to other uses.  The Kittatinny, the Water Gap House and many other famous resorts are all gone. The old bustling train station is abandoned.  Yet, because of the many amenities in the region the town survived and today is a haven for artists, craft shops and boutiques.

Local artists display their works at the Antoine Dutot

School house Gallery.  Many internationally recognized jazz musicians live in the area and perform locally.

Nature lovers enjoy visiting the region while hiking the Appalachian Trail which runs right through the town.  Delaware Water Gap is a part of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area and is the 11th most visited park in the National Park system with over five million visitors each year.

These are some of the activities you will find in the region:  Fishing, boating, swimming, sightseeing, camping, hiking,

rock climbing, shopping…….. need I say more?
